I see you.
Across the room, I see you.
I see you refuse my gaze.

I see.
Your eyes dart, my direction.
Pity floods your face.

I see you.
You pass me by, Yizkor.
You dismiss my obligation.

I see.
A candle lit. A soul flickers.
My memories, a haze.

I see you.
Head bowed; walk stooped.
Leaving me in your wake.

I see.
A seat. Void. Cold.
Please – sit with me.
Don’t leave. Sit. Stay.
