Light.
Object.
I do obstruct thee
An aspect – recognised subconsciously
A mere shadow of myself
Is what has become of me.

Left.
I stand.
Distortion – cast for all to see
Paralysed by darkness
A mere shadow of myself
Consciously repressed – is all I be.

Roam,
Nay – I stalk.
Voyager haunted mournfully
Thoughts and actions not verbalised
A mere shadow of myself
Words unspoken in their entirety.

Beneath.
An inferior angle projects.
The darker side – splitting my personality
An encounter, albeit negative
A mere shadow of myself
Personifies all my anxiety.

Sorrow.
Sadness – a state unseen – distress
A life bleak, streams of misery
My mind’s state – questioned
A mere shadow of myself
I acknowledge hopeless feelings of melancholy.

Right.
I stand, I endure, I prevail
Layers exist symbiotically
Awareness of all manifestations
A mere shadow of myself
Evidence of my complexity.

Understanding.
Developing in the darkness of my mind.
Loneliness increases exponentially –
When my enlightenment ceases
A mere shadow of myself
Fading into the equator in its finality.

Light.
Acceptance.
My existence affirmed by thee
Obscured – but no longer darkened
A mere shadow of myself
Flickering right beside me
